interests

i absolutely adore video games, though i'm bad at playing them and even worse at finishing them. there's probably something deep in my psyche that explains my inability to play any game more than halfway, but who's got time for that?! haha...

my favorite video games are the professsor layton series and minecraft! my favorite genre is definitely puzzle games, though i'm real shitty at them. i'm also fond of incremental browser games and MUDs (text-based multiplayer rpgs from the 90s). i'm very partial to the 3DS, of which i still have my first one i got in 2012! it sits by my bed and mocks me every day, the games i am too lazy to finish... someday, i am sure, i will pick it up again. but not today.

i wouldn't say i watch that many shows, as i'm kind of picky with media i consume. which is why when i find shows i really like, i fall deeply in love with them. my favorite shows are bojack horseman, it's always sunny in philadelphia, and osomatsu-san. honorable mention to invader zim! you might see a bit of a pattern with them (asshole characters and dark, shock-ish humor) - what can i say? i know my tastes. bojack is a bit of an outlier in that regard (i fuckin' hate that damn horse), but the show is just so fantastic.

i'm hesitant to put this here as this is a newer interest of mine, but it's consumed much of my time as of late. right now i've got a real devastating hyperfixation on loki, the marvel character, so i've been reading a shit ton of his comics. kieron gillen's journey into mystery arc tore me apart, and al ewing's loki: agent of asgard put me back together, and it's really opened my eyes to the power of comics. i hope to also expand my horizons to other famous graphic novels!

to no surprise, i adore listening to music! my favorite genres are indie rock, bossa nova, and ambience... though i'm pretty open to everything as long as it has a good tune :D my favorite artists are alice phoebe lou, c418, and baek a yeon! honorable mentions to electric light orchestra, dodie, radiohead, my chemical romance, lamp, and all vocaloid! woww i love music...

kind of a weird one to mention as i shall never share my wonky little pieces on here, but i really enjoy writing! hopefully you can see some err... sparks of such an interest in the way i write on this or subsequent websites. i'm kind of a grammar nerd, so i also pray there are no glaring grammar mistakes (other than commas, fuck those!).
